Q Review the class slides for examples of audio slideshows and requirements for the final assignment. Your final audio slideshow will include: • 10 - 12 original (shot by you for this project) photographs • With a short (5 - 20 seconds) edited audio clip connected to each image (narration, interview or a mix of both) • The full audio slideshow should be approximately 2-3 minutes long • You will use the free online tool Voicethread to create your slideshow. If you want to use something else, like Powerpoint, email me for permission. If you use a different tool, be sure your audio slideshow will be online and sharable. 1. Describe your topic. Why is this topic interesting to a broad audience? Why is it interesting to you? 2. Explain how you will use visual storytelling to communicate. What will you photograph? How will you frame those photographs? Remember to capture a variety of CU, MS & WS. Be specific. 3. Explain how you will use interview soundbites in your slideshow. List the people you will you interview and what will you ask them. 4. Will you also include narration (your voice) in the story? Are you part of the story or an objective reporter? (Either choice is fine for this assignment.) 5. Do you have any questions or concerns about this project? (I will be sharing tutorials on Voicethread and narration.) Note: Pick a topic you are able to photograph and interview people about. Be safe! Social distance! Need help? Email me for a meeting! Jaylen Johnson
